Trusted mental-health support, built into the patient journey

Bright Insight Headspace blog 1200x675

Today we announced a partnership with Headspace, bringing a curated library of trusted mental-health content into the patient support programs that BrightInsight powers for pharma brands. It targets one of the most expensive and least-solved problems in patient support: the patients who stop taking a therapy that is working for them for reasons that are psychological, not clinical or financial.

In a 2025 IQVIA study, fewer than 1 in 3 patients who start therapy were still on it at 12 months, and drop-off costs the industry more than $500B globally every year. Anxiety, isolation and feeling overwhelmed are a documented part of that loss. This partnership puts trusted support where it can change the outcome.

What we built, and why it is different

Headspace content is curated to each patient's condition and orchestrated inside the brand's own patient experience, which BrightInsight powers behind the scenes, alongside the education, adherence support, savings and clinical touchpoints a patient already relies on. To the patient it is part of their therapy's program, one connected place rather than a separate BrightInsight app or another wellness download to remember.

It reaches the patients who need it, at the moments that matter. BrightInsight's AI predicts when a patient is starting to drift and brings the right Headspace content to them at that moment, both the patients whose signals suggest they need that kind of support and those who seek it out. The targeting is deliberate: support lands where it changes the outcome, rather than reaching every patient by default. From the start, patients get help to begin therapy with confidence, and every interaction is tied back to whether the patient stays on therapy. For patients whose therapy depends on a caregiver, that support extends to the caregiver too, the person whose capacity often decides whether treatment continues.

Why now

Mental health is inseparable from whether patients stay on the treatments that can change their lives, and the market is arriving at the same conclusion. Building trusted mental-health support into the patient experience, rather than leaving patients to find it themselves, is where patient support is heading.

The proof underneath

BrightInsightâ„¢ is the patient persistence and adherence solution built exclusively to keep patients on therapy. In a rigorous real-world analysis by a global biopharma partner, across a dataset of more than 60,000 patients, 13% more patients stayed on therapy at 12 months than those in traditional patient support programs. Adding Headspace's curated mental-health content is designed to build on that impact.

The partnership is available now to BrightInsight's pharma and biotech partners, built to the safety, privacy and quality standards regulated markets require worldwide. Read the full announcement, or schedule a briefing to see how it fits your program.
